On Feb 8-9, 2008, the U10 Lady Jr. Mavericks competed in the Red Wing, MN Tournament.
With outside temps reaching -9, the girls heated up in a hurry and downed Minnetonka, MN in the opening game 6-2, outshooting the Skippers 22-8. Next up was Eagan, MN with a spot in Sundays Championship game on the line. The Lady Mavs dominated Eagan and cruised to a 7-0 victory. This put the girls in the Championship game against Woodbury, MN. Over the first two periods the Lady Mavs built a 2-1 lead in an evenly played game. In the third, the girls picked it up, burying two goals and limiting Woodbury to two shots on net. The 4-1 Championship victory was the third of the year for the girls.
