Never tried hockey before? Join our Initiation (IP) Program. This program is designed for the 1st time skater/hockey player ages 4-12. In this program each skater will receive 40 hours of ice time instruction on Saturday and Sunday running October – March. Ice times do vary during the course of the season but are primarily during the mid-morning to mid-afternoon ice times.
For the player that is looking for just the fun of playing the game, we again offer our House Program. Looking to play recreational hockey on the weekends without having to travel? This is the league for you. Our House Program contains 4-6 teams at all age levels, mite (6-8), Squirt (9-10), PeeWee (11-12) and Bantam (13-14). In this program each skater will receive a minimum of 40 hours of ice time on Saturday’s and Sunday’s running from October – March. Ice times on those days will vary.
Players in our House Program are also eligible to skate in our Supplemental Ice Program (for an additional fee). Supplemental ice is additional training ice led by coaches from the program in which players are given additional opportunities to increase their skating, stick handling and all around hockey skills.
Our High School Hockey League is for players in grades 9-12 that have exhausted their eligibility at the Bantam level. Teams are divided up by High Schools in the area with the goal of winning the vaunted Trophy at the end of the year tournament. These High School Teams fill on a first come first serve basis and fill up fast. If you want to get your spot reserved on your High School team, sign up today.
Looking for a little more competitive hockey, but don’t want to do a lot of traveling? Then the C Team Program may be for you. The O.M.A.H.A. C teams are select teams chosen from our House Program at each level. These teams will compete in the Midwest Select League during the year, participating in 3 league weekends and our home Joust Tournament. These teams will receive 1 hour of additional practice each week after the teams are picked and will possibly travel all 3 weekends. This program is available for an additional fee.
Looking to play the best of the best at your level? Then the Travel Program is for you. Our Travel Teams have consistently finished in the top of the MidWest Hockey League year in and year out and have brought home numerous tournament championships from around the Midwest. Just this past year our PeeWee and Bantam AA Teams won the MidWest Hockey League and competed in St. Louis for a birth in the National Tournament. Our top level teams, the Omaha Jr. Lancers (midget levels) compete in the ultra competitive Central States Developmental Hockey League at the U16 and U18 levels against teams from the St. Louis and Chicago areas. Tryouts for Mite, Squirt, PeeWee and Bantam teams will take place in late summer, Jr. Lancer Tryouts will begin in June.
