Hello everyone…Just a reminder..Fall Freeze registration and fees ($15) are due in to Bill or myself asap. The registration deadline is Oct 31st but we’d like to have this taken care of early.

Also want to remind parents-every game that we are the home team, we must provide a volunteer for the clock and every game we are the visiting team, we must have someone doing the scoresheet in addition for every game we need a volunteer to “person” the penalty box. We will be happy to let you “practice” running the clock during any practice and we have a printed reference sheet for the clock and the scoresheet. If you are unable to volunteer for any of these, I am asking for volunteers to work the hospitality room during the Fall Freeze.

I was thinking about scheduling some type of pizza party for all the parents and players as we do have a few new players on the team. If anyone has any suggestions or would like to plan it, please let me know. Thanks, Lori

The Omaha Junior Lancers finished as runner-up in the U16 Tier 2 USA National hockey in Buffalo, New York on Sunday.
Detriot’s Belle Tire defeated the Lancers 5-3. Only 2 Omaha Junior Lancer teams have qualified for Nationals and this year’s U16 Minor AA team finished second in the Nation. Congratulations to Coach Wilkie, Coach Nielsen, Coach Stratchan, and Luke Marta, Ben Maenner, Nick Schelcht, Brett Bass, Max Reavis, Brandon Reilly, Josh Pijewski, Ethan Blackledge, Tyler O’Connor, Zach Rehmeier, Nate Place, Tyler Robison, Baxter Stratchan, Collin Hodges, Ryan Killeen, Timmy Mollak and Andrew Barton. Way to work together team. Congratulations on a VERY SUCCESSFUL Hockey Season!

BUFFALO, NEW YORK -
The Omaha Junior Lancers were down 2 goals with a 1:11 left in the third period, Coach Wilkie called a time out. In an unbelievable effort, the Junior Lancers tied the game 4-4 before the period ended to force an overtime. The 10 minute overtime ended quickly when the Junior Lancers completed their comeback when Max Reavis scored the game winning goal. They now move onto the National Final U16 finals Sunday morning against Belle Tire at 9 a.m. EST. Good Luck Lancers!
