The Omaha Junior Lancers ended their season finishing in 2nd place in the nation at the USA National U16 Tier2 Hockey finals held in New York last week. Congratulations to the coaches and team for an exciting and tremendous finish!

CSDHL Jr. Lancer’s Announce U-16 & U-18 Try-Outs

CENTRAL STATES DEVELOPMENTAL HOCKEY LEAGUE
O.M.A.H.A. Jr. Lancers Midget Minor U-16 and Midget Major U-18 teams have been selected to participate in the Central States Hockey League. This is an excellent opportunity for our young men to showcase their hockey skills at the Elite AA level. The CSDHL is a well established league which has top AA teams from Chicago and St.Louis.
Who is Eligible:
U-16 (players born in 1992 and 1993)
U-18 (players born in 1992, 1991, & 1990)
Coaches:
U-16- David Wilkie
U-18- Mike Morton

But similar to what the Dallas Stars have done for their community, the Omaha Lancers of the United States (Junior “A”) Hockey League have done for the corn-filled plain lands.

Omaha has the honor of hosting the 2008 Central District tournament. This tournament consist of team in the following divisions:
Midget Minor U-18
Midget Major U-16
Bantam AA
Peewee AA Elite
Central District teams will complete for a slot in the National Tier II tournament. Midget U-18 & U-16 will compete in Buffalo, NY on April 1st – 6th. Bantam AA U-14 & Peewee AA U-12 will compete in Hackensack, NJ on April 1st – 6th. There are a total of 12 teams competing from around the country in the National Tier II tournament.

Friendship games with KC Outlaws

The midget majors have scheduled two friendly games in St Joseph, MO with the Kansas City Outlaws at the Bode Ice Arena on Saturday, October 13, 2007. The first game starts at 3:15 pm and the second game starts at 5:15 pm.
