A Jr. Lancer parent meeting will be held at Moylan IcePlex on Monday August 24th at 6:30 pm. All Jr. Lancer parents are asked to attend. Agenda items include game schedule, practice schedule and budget.

Congratulations to the following players on being selected to participate in the Omaha Junior Lancers Invitation Only tryout camp August 8th and 9th at Moylan IcePlex. This will be the final tryout prior to selecting the teams for the 2009/10 season. The entire coaching staff will be evaluating all players.
Tryout times are as follows:
Saturday August 8th
2:00 pm – 3:00 pm: optional warm-up/open ice
3:00 pm – 5:15 pm scrimmage
Sunday August 9th
8:30 am – 9:00 am: optional warm-up/open ice
9:00 am – 11:15 am: scrimmage

Omaha Junior Lancer awarded CSDHL Scholarship

Zach Rehmeier ( Midget Major Omaha Junior Lancers 08/09 ) was awarded one of two Central States Developmental Hockey League scholarships this past season. All graduating seniors are encouraged to submit application packages to the CSDHL for scholarship consideration. This is just one of the many benefits of the CSDHL. The CSDHL scholarship committee reviews all applications. There is no limit on the number of applications per team. They then determine 2 candidates for the scholarship award. Zach’s on and off ice accomplishments, along with a strong commitment to community service made his application stand above the rest. At the May CSDHL board meeting the 2 winners for this year were recognized. The scholarship committee commented that this years winners both had outstanding academic success and an exceptional record of community service.
