The U10 Lady Mavericks won their 4th tournament of the year on March 1-2 in in Buffalo, MN. The girls defeated Rochester, MN 6-1, Cottage Grove, MN 6-1 and Hopkins, MN 6-4 for the Championship. The tournament win was a perfect way to close out a great season in which the team finished 17-2-1 against U10 girl teams from Minnesota and 29-14-1 overall.

The U10 Lady Jr. Mavericks opened the Mankato, MN Meltdown Tournament with a convincing 7-0 victory over White Bear Lake, MN. In the semi-finals the Lady Mavs squared off against Edina, MN. The girls came out smoking but were only able to build a 1-0 lead after dominating the first period. Edina slowly built momentum and scored 2 third period goals for a 2-1 win sending the Lady Mavs into the 3rd Place game against Hopkins, MN. In a very close game the Lady Mavs prevailed scoring with 1:32 reamaining for a 3-2 victory.

The U10 Lady Jr. Mavericks played in the Waseca, MN Tournament the weekend of Dec 8-9. In pool play the Lady Mavs defeated Andover, MN 6-1 and Winona, MN 11-1. With the two wins the team entered the Championship game against Mankato, MN.

With a 3-5 record against local Mite AA and Squirt A teams the U-10 Lady Jr. Mavericks hit the road for the Twin Cities to play in their first all girls tournament, the Inver Grove Heights, MN Thanksgiving Tournament. The Lady Mavs were up to the task posting a 4-0 record in the double round robin format, outscoring their opponents 17-3.

The U10 Lady Jr. Mavericks enjoyed some outdoor pond hockey Friday night before their weekend games. The girls skated at Phalen Park, the same outdoor rink Herb Brooks grew up playing on.
