Q: My child played for O.M.A.H.A. last season, do I need to fill out the forms (register) again?
A: Yes, every player needs to register prior to each hockey season. This is a requirement of USA Hockey who oversees our league and provides insurance for all the skaters.

Q: How long is the typical youth hockey season?
A: It begins on October 1st and ends in March.

Q: What equipment is required?
A: -Helmet w/Mask -Breezers (aka Hockey pants)
-Mouthguard -Shin guards
-Shoulderpads -Elbowpads
-Skates -Gloves
-Hockey stick
*House league team jerseys and socks will be provided when teams are selected.

Q: What are the age groups for youth hockey season 2007-2008?
A: Initiation Program (IP) – This program is for any age just learning to skate. It is typically broken into two age groups.
Termites – Born in 2001/2002 – 6 & 7 years old.
Mites – Born in 1999/2000 – 7 & 8 years old.
Squirts – Born in 1997/1998 – 9 & 10 years old.
PeeWees – Born in 1995/1996 – 11 & 12 years old.
Bantams – Born in 1993/1994 – 13 & 14 years old.
High School – Born in 1989-1992 – 15-18 years and grades 9-12.

Q: How many games and on-ice practices do we get in a season?
A: Each age level is guaranteed the following during a hockey season:
Initiation Program – 40 hours instruction and practice.
Termites – 40 hours minimum total - up to 8 games.
Mites – 40 hours minimum total – up to 13 games.
Squirts – 40 hours minimum total – up to 16 games.
PeeWees – 40 hours minimum total – up to 16 games.
Bantams – 40 hours minimum total – up to 18 games.
High School – 45 hours minimum total – 26 games and 19 practices.
