Omaha Peewee Players Take Home the Championship Win

Eleven Omaha Hockey players from the 23-24 Peewee Black Travel Team competed this past weekend, April 19-21, 2024, at the CCM Chicago Chi Town Shuffle.  All 11 of these boys competed for the MWAHA 2011 Team Midwest.

The Midwest Amateur Hockey Association (“MWAHA”) announced Hockey Development plans for youth players born in 2011 and 2012.  MWAHA is a great development for young players to have a higher‐level competitive experience against AAA teams while still playing for their home Association team during the winter season.

Eleven of the twenty-five players rostered on the 2011 Team Midwest also played together on the Omaha Hockey Peewee Black Team during the 2023-2024 season.  Their team had an incredible season taking 1st at the CCM Dallas tournament and numerous 2nd place wins against competitive opponents around the country.

Their coach, Christian Graham, is Director of Hockey Development for Omaha Hockey Club ("OHC").  He is responsible for planning and executing a consistent process for coaching and player development and leadership.  He is heavily involved in Omaha's player development in the pre-season and in-season to ensure each player is improving everyday to successfully achieve their desired level of play.

The boys went 6-0 the whole weekend and brought home the championship win!  All the boys played significant rolls in accomplishing this victory.
