This past week (March 26-30, 2014) the Omaha Hockey Club hosted the 2014 USA Hockey High School National Championships at Moylan Iceplex and the Ralston Arena.
The phenomenal success of the event is a reflection of the ever-increasing dedication and enthusiasm the Omaha Hockey Club and community display on a continual basis.
I would like to personally thank each volunteer for your recent contribution of time to the National event. This would not have been a success without your involvement and because of your support we were able to do the following which many were firsts for this National tournament.
· Host 32 teams from across the country
· Host games at first class facilities with first class volunteers
· Bring the Stanley Cup to the Ralston Arena
· Host Miss Nebraska on opening day (Jaycee Pilkington)
· Partner with some amazing corporate sponsors
· Have the United States Airforce Honor Guard and TSgt William Thomas sing the National Anthem at the championship game.
These are only a few things that were accomplished by you the volunteers!
The 2014 USA Hockey High School National Championship tournament was a resounding success, but as I mentioned we could not have done it without you and your gift of time, energy and enthusiastic support. On behalf of the Omaha Hockey Club and the Nationals committee I would like to take this opportunity and say a heartfelt, “Thank You!” We look forward to our next event and working with you all very soon.
Best Wishes,
