Omaha, NE | Tuesday night marked the 2015 Annual General Meeting of the Omaha Hockey Club Board of Directors and the membership at DJ’s Dugout in Aksarben Village.

During the Annual General meeting an overview of the past year successes from president Dudzinski was presented, along with a report from each divisional director. The board elections were also conducted with results released at the end of the meeting.

There were five positions up for election along with two positions that were appointed.  Those five positions were Vice President/Risk Manager, Secretary, House Director (Squirt – Bantam), High School Midwest Director (Junior Lancer High School Travel), and Director of Girls Hockey.

Three of the 5 positions had incumbents running for re-election, those were Vice President/Risk Manager, High School Midwest Director and the Director of Girls Hockey.  Being re-elected for office for another two years will be Jeff Chubb – Vice President/Risk Manager; Michael Hughes – Midwest High School Director (OJL); and Andy Ketterson – Director of Girls Hockey.

New to the Board of Directors is Lisa Mercier who ran for the position of Secretary.  Lisa comes to the Omaha Hockey Club having served in a similar capacity in San Antonio, TX.  Welcome aboard Lisa.

Failing to have any representation was the House Director position – the position was up for election, however no one stepped up to fill the position.  This is a very important role – one that helps look after the house hockey needs from squirt – bantam.  If there is anyone that is interested please contact Michael Dudzinski using the email contact link at the bottom of this page and let him know you are interested in helping fill the void.  Any interested person will certainly have guidance from the previous house director as well we have several members of the association that have held this position in the past and would be willing to help guide the right candidate.

During the Annual General meeting the Omaha Hockey Club recognizes people that have given back to the program over the years with coaching, board member and team management.  The Omaha Hockey Club is honored to announce this year’s recipients of the Omaha Hockey Club Lifetime Membership Award:

• Stephanie Woodward

• Emmanual “Michael” Vlassakis

• Matt Sempeck

Each of these recipients have served with either the Omaha Hockey Club as it is known present day, or with the former club as O.M.A.H. A. or the Omaha Gladiators.
