Omaha, NE | The Omaha Junior Lancers High School Program is proud to announce the selection of Nick Harrahill as the new Junior Varsity head coach for the 2015-2016 season.

Nick brings a number of years coaching experience with the Junior Lancer program as well as coaching experience at the High School Club and squirt select level within the Omaha organization.

Nick currently teaches physical education at Norris Elementary School and enjoys teaching youth about sports and keeping healthy.

“I am excited to be picking up where coach Sempeck left off with a strong group of players that are dedicated to the sport and want to compete every shift every time they are on the ice,” said Harrahill.  “This won’t be easy and everyone will need to do their part if we are to succeed and I am looking forward to the challenge.”

Coach Harrahill will continue assisting the varsity team as position coach of the defense corps.

In addition we welcome new assistant coach Alex Euerle to the program.  Alex hails from Litchfield, Minnesota where he was the head coach of the Litchfield Dragons Bantam travel team.  He coached multiple seasons with the program and then was asked to head up a Minnesota Showcase hockey team.  Life events carried Alex to the Omaha area where he currently works Hawkins Construction. Since being in Omaha Alex took over as head coach of the Elkhorn High School Club team and most recently he was the head coach of the Peewee A travel team.

Alex loves to teach systems and defensive style of play, his coaching belief is that defense will win championships.

“I would like to thank the Omaha Hockey Club and the Junior Lancers High School program for allowing me the opportunity to join the team and allow me to help teach these young players the defensive side of the game,” stated coach Euerle.
