NEBRASKA IS AWARDED THE 2014 USA HOCKEY HIGH SCHOOL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP 

Event will Feature the Finest High School Players in the Country and Midwest

OMAHA, NE – Nebraska has been awarded the 2014 USA Hockey High School National Championship Tournament.  The March 26-30, 2014 event, is the highest profile youth hockey tournament in Nebraska.  Tournament games will take place at the Ralston Arena and other additional facilities within the community.  Athletes from around the country will converge upon Ralston for a week of competition to prove who the best high school hockey team is in the nation. 

Organizers anticipate 30 plus High School hockey teams from around the country will travel to Nebraska to compete for the National Championship.  Past host cities for the tournament have included; Chicago, IL, Salt Lake City, UT and this year, Coral Springs, FL. “This is a great opportunity for Nebraska hockey fans to see the finest high school hockey players in the country during the five-day event,” said Nebraska tournament representative Michael Hughes.  “We will be working with area businesses, the USHL  Omaha Lancers, the local Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau to make sure that all of the players, coaches and their fans from as far away as Florida, New York, California and Texas enjoy a stellar championship experience.”
