To honor my father, Eric Janke who passed away in June 2012; my husband and I decided to do something special for someone who meant the world to me and was one of my heroes.

We have started up, within the Omaha Hockey Club, the Eric Janke Scholarship Fund to assist those who are not able to afford to play the great sport of hockey, which my father loved so very dearly.  When trying to set this scholarship up, I was told by someone that my Dad spoke often in hockey meetings about doing something to assist parents/kids in order to play.  I knew then...this was definitely meant to be!

My hopes and dreams, is that this scholarship will be an ongoing one, in which will continue for years to come.

For those who knew my dad, he adored the kids and had been involved with the Omaha Hockey Club for many years, as well as officiating and even played in a league that, at the time, was called the Huff and Puff league (now Masters).

Thank you for your consideration,

Michelle Brady
