Omaha, NE – Midway through the 2013-2014 MWHSL hockey season the Omaha Junior Lancers will appear on the Omaha Morning Blend, which features a variety of community organizations, businesses, and happenings in the Omaha metro area.

This entertaining talk show format offers a great opportunity for organizations to reach out to the community.

Joining the hosts of the Omaha Morning Blend, Mary Nelson and Mike DiGiacomo will be Coaches Andy Blaszak, Matt Sempeck and players Cole Richter and Alex Casebeer representing the Omaha Junior Lancers High School hockey program.

Tune in on Friday January 3, 2014 and see the segment aired live, or set your DVR’s to record the program.  The morning blend is live on KMTV 3 from 9 am – 10 am weekdays.

Back On The Ice -- The Junior Lancers will get back on the ice Friday night in a single weekend game versus their rival Lincoln Junior Stars at the Ice Box – JV game is at 6 pm and the Varsity game is at 8 pm.  Please come down to Lincoln and support the boys.

Nationals -- the 2014 Varsity Nationals are right around the corner, March 26-30, 2014 at the Ralston Arena; volunteers are needed for an array of duties.  Please email nebnationals@gmail.com if you have time during that week to volunteer.

Playoffs -- Both the Junior Varsity and Varsity teams control their own destiny for playoff positioning; the Junior Varsity currently sit first in the West Division and 2^nd overall in the league and can work their way to a number one placing in the league with solid play down the stretch.  The Varsity team currently is second in the West division four points behind Kansas City Jets, however with some solid play they can potentially take over the West Division race and they have an outside chance to take first overall in the league.

It all starts with games at the Ice Box against the Lincoln Junior Stars Friday January 3, 2014 JV @ 6 pm and Varsity @ 8 pm – make the trip to the capital and cheer your Junior Lancers onto victory!!
