Championship Sunday!

The OHC Bantam A squad collected more hardware at the “Shoot Out in Sioux City” December 5 – 7.  The players overcame being five men down on the first game against Cedar Rapids and a penalty box with a revolving door to win the championship.

Jr. Lancers defeated Cedar Rapids 3-2 on Friday night while missing five players.  The second round of pool play had the Jr. Lancers playing Des Moines Jr. Bucs for the fifth time the season.  Despite a record of 1- 3 against the Jr. Bucs so far this season, the Jr. Lancers won 5-3 to remain undefeated.  The third round of pool play had the Jr. Lancers playing Waterloo, who they had not played yet this season.  Jr. Lancers defeated the Waterloo Jr. Hawks 7-1.  Jr. Lancers finished pool play undefeated and were set to play for the championship.

The Jr. Lancers faced the Sioux City Junior Musketeers for the championship on Sunday.  Jr. Lancers and the Jr. Musketeers played a fast-paced and hard hitting game with the Jr. Lancers coming out on top with a score of 9-1.  The championship brings the Bantam A team their second championship trophy this season.
