Omaha, NE | Omaha Hockey Club High School Hockey League Coaches Scott Saxton and Tim Miller (both goalies) are offering free goalie clinics to High School and Bantam Goalies.

The clinics are goalie specific and will cover form, tracking, stance, positioning, conditioning and stretching.
Goalies will only receive shots during a goalie drill that they are being coached on, not just dumping rubber on them. Drills will range for conditioning drills to shot stopping drills, all adapted around the goalie involved in the drill.

The clinic will be at Moylan at 5:15 pm on the following dates:
2/14
2/21
3/13

All team coaches/ goalie handlers are encouraged to attend.

Shooters will be brought in to help with the clinic so the coaches can work with the goalies and not worry about taking the shots.

The primary reason for this clinic is to develop OHC goalies to play at the same level as the players are. Goalies rarely get the amount of coaching time they should during team practices and this can cause poor form and bad habits that can keep them from reaching their potential. Another important reason for these clinics is that most goalies do not know how to correctly stretch and warm up before a game or practice. By showing the goalies a correct way to prepare for practices and games this can help reduce goalie injuries.

Coach Saxton and several of the active High School goalie coaches will be at each clinic.
