The Cause
Duchenne muscular dystrophy is the most common fatal genetic disorder diagnosed in childhood. The disease results in progressive loss of strength, which can lead to serious medical problems, particularly issues relating to the heart and lungs. Recently, the son of former player and coach Rob Facca, an original UNO Maverick, was diagnosed with the disease. The Omaha Hockey Hall of Fame has pledged to help fight the disease by raising money for research and public awareness. Please help us by participating in this timely and worthwhile event. All proceeds will be donated to Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy. Donations are tax deductible.
