All Star Game

Update:  It was a great all star game, very even shots on goal, and we ended up with a 7 to 6 win by the Blue team.

We're over half way through the season now, the teams have all improved over the season, and I'm seeing good, competitive games from all the teams now.  I'm looking forward to a good end of season tournament which will start Feb 16th.

I'm happy to announce the selections for the All Star game, played next Saturday, January 18th at 1pm at Baxter Arena on the main ice.  The participants this year will be:

Jr. Lancers Showcase Tourny

Erik Johnson and Jeff Filleman put together a select group of Omaha High School Club All Stars. The team finished second in the Omaha Jr. Lancers Omaha Classic tournament, held in Omaha over the weekend of Oct. 11-13. The team lost the championship game in the JV division to the Kansas City Jets 3-2. The team included club players from Creighton Prep, Elkhorn, Fremont, Omaha Metro, Millard North, Millard West, Papillion and Westside. Coach Erik Johnson said, “I am very proud of the way the guys competed after only 3 practices. Every game was a one-goal game until the very end. They proved our High School Club teams have strong, competitive talent.”

Awesome showing and Congratulations to the coaches and to all the players!
