High school hockey players, families and coaches,
We are happy to announce that the registration and payment link for the 2022-2023 in-person High School Hockey Awards Banquet is now open! It has been 4 years since this event was held in person and much planning has already gone into making this a fantastic experience for our high school hockey players, coaches and families. See the link below. It will be added to the high school sports engine page today as well.
The information about the banquet is included in the link. Please note that each hockey player is limited to 2 adult guests. However, if there is capacity following the cutoff date, we will reach out and add additional guests. Please note that there are 300 players and coaches in the high school league which could total around 800-900 total for this event with players having 2 guests. I am confident that we will be able to accommodate some additional guests on March 13.
Here is the banquet registration link: https://omahahockey.sportngin.com/register/form/957992377
Awards and recognition will occur for: first year players, academic achievement, individual player, goalie, coaching awards, 1st and 2nd all-state teams, winner of the Corporal Daegan Page High School Hockey tournament AND more!
We have asked team managers to ask senior parents if they would leave senior banners at the welcome table as they will be included at the banquet. No obligation here. I promise I will take good care of them. You or a team representative will receive them back the night of the banquet or soon after.
We are excited to celebrate a wonderful hockey season!
Please reach out with any questions (contact information included in the link)

2022 OHSHL FALL FREEZE
I would like to welcome you all to the Omaha High School Hockey League (OHSHL) and I look forward to seeing all of your student athletes grow and compete over the season.
If you are an incoming freshman or new to the league you MUST attend the evaluation skate. The evaluation skate will be held on Sunday September 25th 5-7pm at Moylan. If your student athlete attends a school that does not have a club team you will be entered into a draft and will be selected by a team. If you are a returning player and you wish to transfer from your previous team and enter the draft you need to submit a letter to highschooldirector@omahahockey.net by Saturday September 24th. In the letter you need to include your current team and reason for wishing to enter the draft. Once the letter is received you will be entered into the draft pool. Entering the pool is not a guarantee that you will be selected by another team. Once teams have been drafted you will be contacted by your coaches and the teams will be published on social media and email.
I have been notified that the website issues causing the delay in the schedule have been resolved and we should have the season finished in the coming days. Once that is finalized I will notify everyone via email that the schedule is accurate as shown on the website.
Pre-season games will be held Starting OCT 16th and run through OCT 20th. These games will not count towards any standings and will not be awarded any points for the season. The game times and selections will be coming out in the next week.
If you know of any players that are going to play and have not registered yet please remind them to register this week so coaches can have an accurate idea on their teams numbers.
Thank you and I look forward to the coming season!
